can i join the tour if i'm pregnant?
You can participate in our tours during the first and second trimester of pregnancy. Those wishing to participate must be less than 34 weeks pregnant for single pregnancies and 32 weeks for multiple pregnancies. Care must be taken when moving around the boat to avoid being bumped.
Passengers should be aware that pregnancy can increase the risk of sea sickness. It is recommended that a doctor or midwife is consulted before participating in a tour.
Our skippers have the final decision on who may partake in an Albatross Encounter tour. The suitability of conditions for pregnant passengers will be assessed immediately prior to the tour’s departure, and if passage is not possible on the day a full refund will apply.
